Holley question

Just installed a used racing beat Holley kit on my 81 the other day but still having some problems. The idle screw can no longer be adjusted and the idle is at 1500 I cant get it to come down anymore. Also I thought the secondaries were supposed to come on later in the rpm range, when I got the carb on the previous owner had the secondaries on with the primaries all the time - when we stopped the secondaries the car wont idle it starts revs and slowly drops till it shuts off - we have adjusted everything else - so any info would be great.

You Need To Adjust The Air Bleeds On The Primary, Also The Spring And The Diaphram And The Linkage For The Sec. May Be Binding, But If You Want To Change The Spring, (there Are About 12 Different Ones) You Can Now Get A Quick-change From Holley, 15.00
