After doing a little research, I found they make the throttle bodys as small as 650 cfm. Here's the link to Holley's website. http://www.holley.com/950-23S.asp I remember a while back someone was running a 4 barrel throttle body blowthrough. He had a plexiglass carb hat which was pretty cool.

I should have been a little more specific. The smallest 4 barrel throttle body they make is 650 cfm. The E-bay link is for a 2 barrel.

i'm actually planning to do the 4bbl setup. i already have the 4D ecu, just having alittle trouble finding the throttle body. u'd probably have to use a custom intake to use the 2bbl tb or mod an intake that would use a weber/dellorto. since i'm already running the rb holley intake, the 4bbl will work perfectly. as soon as i find the tb and get the setup in operation, i'll definately be posting it here.

Yeah those are the more expensive digital ones. I was also looking at the old analog style computers where you manually turn pots on the ecu to adjust fuel curve.

Its the older pro-jection line up!

i just picked up a new (old stock analog) pro-jection system on E-bay for $130.00
I plan to try it on my 84 12A as soon as I finish paint and body work. I know a 670cfm throttle body is a bit much for this engine but I thought about making a restrictor plate such as NASCAR uses and getting a megasquirt for controll. anyone see any red flaggs.

it's possible that it just didn't meet up to his expectations, and can afford to spend thousands of dollars for something much better. but for those like us looking for a cheaper way to convert to FI, it'll probably work ok.

He says that because for the same price as that kit( the new one) you can get a complete motor, ecu, and all that stuff with shipping. I'm not talking about a toy 12a turbo, I mean the JDM.

I really wish I wasn't in the Army so I could get one.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-1...QQcmdZViewItem

The thing you gotta remember when buying any jdm engine is the very real possibility you're gonna need to at least crack it open and check it out!

Fuel injection is the main goal for me in the long run. But for a lot of you guy's it may work fine but i myself am a turbo 12a owner so i have to look at it from that angle too. I just came across an auction and wanted to know if anyone had it working on a rotary!

Mega squirt is in my future to control spark for sure and will add fuel to the mix later!

So what if you have to open it up. That takes like what, a day? Whats a gasket kit cost, like 200? You dont HAVE to do that, and you can get the beast running . The point that we're trying to say is for the money you get everything you need for serious, or at the very least of like 200rwhp.

I'm all for the holley kit if its digital, I didnt study it, but I would stay away from megasquirt unless you have nothing better to do.

Everyone I've talked to that does tuning wont touch it including BNR.

I have heard nothing but good things about megasquirt and rotaries. It is even an open source code and anyone can program whatever on it, unlike your higher up ECUs, where you have to wait for updates. Not knocking Haltech, Wolf3D, etc. They are all great stand alones. But the Megasquirt is a great product that is cheap and efficient.

Plus I will be going megasquirt with the tweakit throttle body.

The thing is, megasquirt isnt a product, thats the mis-conception. Its a project, unsupported by a brand. Yes you can buy a kit to put it together, or have them put it together, but after that you're on your own. I guess I'm not crazy about it because I want a serious engine and turbo setup, and I'm not going to short on a computer when I'll need to goto the dyno to have it finished.

Megasquirt is a great option and will run most any engine you want. There are lots of people running high power turbo and supercharged engines with there megasquirt. As far as support visit any megasquirt forum. there you will find more support than I have ever seen from any brand name product. It's all a matter of opinion but for me Megasquirt is the quality product without the brand name price. never did like paying for that company sticker but that's just me.

Autonomics throttle body with their little inserts that drop it down to 460cfm however you would be better of with a sidedraft because mounting a turbo with a holley style intake is tough.

I had looked at the Holley Pro-jection two barrel, planning on putting it on a IDA intake. But, I talked to a guy who sets up the Holley Pro-jection units at his performance shop. He said that the Holley units have little actual adjustability and do not tend to work well for applications other than what they are pre-set for.
