Holley carb rebuild?
HI ALL,
Newbie here....I just got a hold of a 85 Rx-7 with a 12a motor. This car has a street beet intake, bigger fuel pump, posi, coils well anyway the car has been sitting for 2 years and has a 750 holley carb but it leaks from the carb. Does anyone know a place in chicago where I can get this carb rebuilt or purchase a used one for a good price..and i need quality. Any help would really be appreciated.

I am a newbie to the mazda world, but not to a holley.... There isn't anything easier than rebuilding a holley carburator. The kit only costs about $15-20 and can be purchased at any local auto suppier.
if the fuel leak your only problem, just replace metering block gaskets and float bowl gaskets and leave everything else alone...
there are 4 bolts on the fron and on the back of the carburator..... just unbolt them and metering block and float bowl will fall out..... If thats too hard, just take off the carburator and find somebody that can rebuild it..... Takes only about 30 minutes... Better yet buy holley book and do it yourself.
