on a v8 i use that for the pcv hose. you could use an in line pcv and run the other end of the hose to your oil filler tube.

so if i have it uncapped could be the cause of it not starting?

Yup, it's a massive vac leak. I capped mine though after Saturday itll be used for the PCV.
