Holley 600 No Start Gas Problem ASAP!

Well i rebuilt my holley 600, now i cant get it to start. Ive checked it 5 times retaking everything apart and going over everything per the instructions. I cant get it to start and now it seems like when the floats are at what they should be like it says in the rebuild book it flood all over and out the injectors. It leaks a ton of gas out the exhaust too, like right out of the cat pipe meeting. After much cranking i was able to get it to start a few times, it would smoke a ton from all the gas in there im guessing and then i would hold it at about 1500 rpm and then as soon as i would let down it would die, not struggle to idle or anything. Just die. Already have missed a day of work so i need to get this going. If anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them

a bad pv. or the pv gasket is leaking. if you unplug the fuel pump will it start and run for a bit on the gas in the carb?
