Holley 465 rebuild=fail!
Long story short, i tried to rebuild my carb.I go it all back together and turned the key to fill the bowels and adjust them. After that i turned the key again and the secondaries would fill up with gas and i would get no fuel coming out of the primary squirters. Does anyone have an idea what went wrong? I am in dire need of help, and yes i did use the search feature.

I will try that after work tomorrow. What about the no gas coming out of the nozzels? Can i have put something together wrong? There is not much to get wrong, but i guess there is, lol. Could it have anything to do with part that has the secondary metering plate? Could i have used a wrong gasket?

yes and no. Before the rebuild,it ran but it started sputtering, and falling flat at crusing speed. You would give it gas and it would sputter.if the car was at idle, it would run, once you started giving it gas you would see the stream of gas stutter.it sounded like the car was either flooding or starving for fuel.i went out and bought a holley red fuel pump and that did not solve the problem. so i figured a rebuild was in order.there is really not much parts that i could get wrong, its mostly gaskets and such.if anyone has any ideas big or small please give me your thoughts.

Ok, so what size squirter are you using? Is this a racing beat 465 Holley setup or an off the shelf Holley? From your video; I would check to see if the float level is high enough by removing the aluminum adaptor for the oil line from the side of the float bowl. Also make sure the accelerator pump diaphragm is in the correct way...
Then I would remove the squirter and make sure the plunger is in there. check the squirter number when u remove it too. Depending on where you got the carb from; they used different shaped plungers. The racing beat ones used a ball bearing and cylindrical needle point plunger. The ones off the shelf used a ball bearing with a square/ rectangular plunger.

49 is huge....I use a 25 with my streetported 13B....
It should be pretty easy but things happen. If float level, squirter size, plunger are correct then I'd look into the accelerator cam. I like using the orange one instead of the white one.

well for the ones that are watching this thread i have made progress. the issue now is my motor is flooded, so i took out the plugs and let it crank, but it seems that the gas will not go away.the other problem is i have gas slowly , very slowly dripping in the secondaries. i will try to make a vid if anyone has any input and could help. thanks in advance.

Mine did this when the fuel pressure was acting up. Like someone else said, the fuel pressure will fill the bowls and force past the needle and drip into the secondary venturies. I would pull the float plug and gas would stream out. After I fought with it for a while (I have a regulator, but it was acting up), I got mine de-flooded by pulling the float plugs and letting those drain to the proper level, killing the fuel pump, pulling the plugs and cranking it for a while. Then I got it fired off just the fuel in the bowl, reconnected the fuel pump, and she started right up.
