Well, earlier today i was listening to my cd player, and i was putting hte plastic pieces in the back of my car on, in my 84 -se. Well i was on the very last one, the one that goes around hte hatch latch. Didnt occur to me that anythign odd was gonna happen at all cause its just a little light fixture on the damned plastic pieces. I hook the wires up. Start to put the thing on and it touched the hatch latch. Blue sparks fly and my stereo goes dead. I Unhook the light and take it out the car. Check my fuses, check the htings on strut tower, everyhitng is good. Power is going into the accessory fuse. But my dome light, cd player, and clock are not working. Any ideas?

 

check all fuses

 

Does your CD player have a fuse on the back of it? you could check that too...

 

Check the hazzard fuse.
