hmm extra aluminum, what to do with it

anti-flame message: ok some of you may think this is a waste of time, but for a trade student who is currently making 0$$ getting a bunch of free aluminum is a goldmine. and a great way to practice fabrication skills, and do some free mods the best mods of all...

so what will i do with it,

-well im going to be replacing parts that i cannot remove, that are generally non structural and can be seen (that way i can polish them up nice,) for example, i wanted to remove my winshield wiper mounts and accessories, but i sorta need them im in vancouver here, so why not replace them with aluminum, nice billet pieces in behind that vent thing going back and forth, just an idea/example.

- making custom brackets and stuff to hold accessories that may not be stock, aka making a custom headlight setup and such. or maybe mounting, my 2nd gen coils,

-my favorite project of all, making a tombraider style roof rack setup, to hold accessories such as my spare tire, backpack, and tools neccisary for going to the junkyard or for general transport. i got the idea off tombraider....
lol

so ya im going a bit aluminum crazy, cause i love aluminum, and i love the way it shines up nice, example my engine, and intake manifold,.

Maybe make an alluminum stereo surrend and a guage cluster surround while ur at it. Just an idea, I've always wanted to see an FB with an alluminum stock looking interior. That way everything bolts right back on.

If you have some thin sheet aluminum, you can make a stereo surround like Nector suggested. I made one for mine, and I made it one piece it covers the AC controls, the stereo mounting, 5 guages, and the console for the shifter boot.

maybe I can dig up some photos of it later.

ya, im gonna be making some cool stuff with it, lots of replacement parts, lots of shiny stuff,. unfortunately all i got was strange shapes, and some long tubes, that are about 1" diameter, with a lip that comes out another 1 inch, (mainly for transforming hopsital room curtains,) but ill still be able to make some pretty cool stuff with it, maybe even some strut bars. cant wiat to get ater, \

now lets see what type of things you guys have made for fbs out of aluminum, replacement parts or w/e

A billet aluminum airconditioner bracket would be nice instead of the stock hunk of metal.

Well I'm buying one, too. Suggestions never hurt though.

I'm probably going to have mine powdercoated to make it more blingin'.
