Hitachi SU carbs

Anyone use these? I've got a pair of them from a Datsun 260z and I was wondering if they'd overcarb a 12a?

You'd be better off selling them to a Z enthusiast, and getting something more suitable for the 7 (in my opinion). I used to be into Zs years back and those carbs were nothing but a headache. My last Z, I had dual webers on it, which was a bit better.

Best carb for the 7 (again, in my opinion) is the Sterling. Costs about half the price of the other alternatives, and the performance is top notch.

There are a lot of choices out there, and I'm sure others will chime in to let you know what they think. But I don't know if using a set of SU carbs would be worth the effort. I mean, after all the work it would take to get them mounted, you'd still be stuck with SU carbs..... Although there are some people across the pond that seem to like them.

just try and find a manifold for SU's!

i think it would work, but you're really better off with something else

+1 million for the Sterling. 4 Months on Nikki and I'm still in love with it. I have yet to get a tuning kit for it, so theres even more to be had from it.

Back in the day everyone swapped out the su's for triple webers and gained quite an increase.

What do you guys think about the tripple SUs that Hurley uses on their 3 rotor 12A kits? They claim to make 250 NA HP with better driveability than a turbo 13B making 250 HP.

I'm flabbergasted to find a simple conversion business with such bad *** connotations.
