clutch?

clutch?

i was drivin down beechmont with my cousin in my 85 put it in 4th and it was actin like neutral.. this is my first 5 spd so does that mean the clutch is slippin.. how long will this one last then if it is?

i usually does, it could also be your tranny ******* up, ... is there any rattle, or any noises that it's making, or do the revs just go up when in 4th with hardly any to no go at all?

speaking of clutches what is the one most people use to replace the stock one? any prefrence?

With the car stopped, and your foot on the brake, put the tranny in 5th gear and slowly let the clutch out (still with your foot on the brake). If the car stalls, then the clutch is in "useable" condition according to the Haynes manual.
