HIGH QUALITY TAIL LIGHT & HATCH CARPET PANELS FOR SALE?

I've owned aloth of RX7s, and it seems like the pieces of carpeting that are always in bad condition are the ones that cover the tail lights and the hatch floor.

Well, I have decided that i'm going to start making them for us, because the automotive aftermarket still hasn't caught up to the RX7 crowd yet. I know that alot of you out there will be interested in these pieces, as I have not found anyone else who makes them.

What I'm asking is for people with information who can tell me how many carpet colors there were for first gens, and I'm looking for people who are willing to send me a color sample out of an inconspicuous location for my color matching purposes. All who send in a small sample will recieve a discount if they want to order some.

IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN PURCHASING THE CARPET PANELS THAT I HAVE DESCRIBED, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT DAVIDDHUMPHREY@HOTMAIL.COM OR MESSAGE ME ON THE FORUM. WHEN YOU EMAIL ME, I'LL BE ABLE TO SEND YOU PICTURES OF EXACTLY WHAT YOU'LL BE GETTING. A WEBSITE IS ON THE WAY.

I'm still trying to gauge interest in the carpet pieces, so if anyone is interested, please reply to the post, email me, or message me on the forum. Thanks!!

Tan, burgundy, black, grey... I think those are about it. You're going to have a hard time color matching the burgundy, because it fades like mad. I'd be surprised if anyone had a perfect one.

Right about the burgundy fading. Might be able to find a snippet from beneathe the seat of one that's been sitting up in a garage for 15 years. Or maybe just better to let that nasty color fade from our memories ( no pun intended ).

Wasn't there a greyish blue as well? I remember pulling a greyish blue carpet out of a 84 parts car I used to have. It had the black accents.

The S3 gray interiors have a blue tint to them, the vinyl is a dark charcoal.

Best place for an original color sample would be taken from behind the radio, under the dash. Keep in mind that the passenger carpet and the hatch carpet are different types and not quite the same shade, but very close.

I dunno about stock, but Victoria British lists tan and brown as two different things.

God, my rear carpeting was in horrible shape when I got my car. I ended up just tearing it all out. Junk growing on it and everything. So, yeah, I'll need some...

...in BURGUNDY! MWAHAHA!

No they are not. If you want to order carpet, I recommend either 1AAutomotive.com or your local auto trimmer/restorer. You will have a much larger selection to choose from in regards to color and type/style of carpet. You will probably need to order an extra 2-2.5 yards of bolt carpet to finish out the hatch area and match the carpet for the bottom of the door panels.

According to Crayola ? No
According to a brotha friend of mine: No
They share some DNA, but are not identical twins.

I'll stick my neck out and declare that tan is not the same as brown.

Would anyone who is interested please email me, or message me on the forum. Also, I can't set prices until you let me know exactly what pieces you'd like. Thanks!

Sorry Guys,

This thread has been closed temporarily because I have to check to see if PLee-FC is an authorised vendor. He's not in the list, so I just want to make sure.

We're all tired of threads which show up promising everything and don't deliver, and the vendors we have are getting pissed that people get away with advertising and selling on the forum without paying for it.

This is the only fair way to deal with both problems at once. We have companies *and* individuals who pay for the right to advertise here. It's what keeps the forum alive.
