How to bring idle down from 1300 rpm to 800 on rx7 1985 gsl-se?

not sure what doc has said, but have you checked for vaccume leaks? also, you may need to lube the roller shafts on the throttle body, as the butterflies may be slightly open, causing the high idle. listen to rx7doctor, he really knows what he's talking about and will give you great advice! welcome to the club.

Thanks for the compliment.

I sent him into the FAQ's to read up on the infamous Idle problems. Because of the complexity and amount of variables concerning this issue I want him to get a general idea of the system.

Then we can direct him in the right direction to get her fixed.

good thinking. hopefully he'll try some of the advice listed there and be able to fix the problem. you're welcome for the compliment. you do have great advice when it comes to 7's an i'm sure most members respect you for it.
