High Beams Not coming on.

My headlights work fine, however when i try to turn on the high beams they dont come on and my headlights go out. (not sure if head lights going out when high beams are on is normal, ive never checked) i can see my running lights still on. However if I activate the temp. high beam switch they come on fine.

In high-beam mode, the low beams are supposed to cut off, yes.

+1 for careful disassembly/cleaning of the combo switch internals.

Clean all the terminals in the fusible link box on the driver's side shock tower. Sometimes they get corroded enough that the high beams won't work. If that doesn't do it clean the combo switch terminals. There are pictures on my website. Combo Switch

74rx4 i checked out that link you sent me and saw something that kinda confused me. Those tabs that turn off the turn signal that are behind the steering wheel. I can freely spin that plastic piece with the tabs on it. I have always had to manually turn them on and off. What would you suggest, just glue the tab back in place or something?
