hi rpm power loss

is it normal for a stock 12a to kind of die off (loss of power) at about 6500 7000 rpm. it doesnt just not go, it just doesnt pull as hard. just wondering if theres something wrong w/ my car or if its normal. new to the rex scene.

is your car completely stock? clean your carb up a bit, make sure the secondaries are working right. i've driven a bone stock one and it still pulled pretty good up to about 7grand. nothing like mine though (mods in sig). i havent ported my motor though, so even on stock ports the 12a can make plenty of power over 7k rpms. hell, mine peaks at 7600!!!!!
