The clutch issue is pretty common as far as I can tell. I think I've replaced my master cylinder twice and the slave once (or vice versa). Check the fluid level in the master cylinder and see if it just needs to by topped off. Look around the master and slave to see if there is any leakage. A lot of people recommend replacing both at the same time, and even replacing the line between them too. It's not too expensive or too much work, so it can't hurt to do the whole system at once.

Welcome to the forum.
Yes on the 1st question.

No on the 2nd.
Need to check and make sure the brake hose is not collapsing.
If that is ok then you have a sticking caliper.
First need to take the wheel off and inspect the caliper and see what is happening.

depending on how long the car sat, the brakes could need to just be rebuilt. when i first got my 79 it sat for 20yrs. and everything was sticking or leaking, clutch and brakes. so i got rebuild kits and honed out everything, worked like new and been good since. welcome and good luck

When i got mine the front wheels got VERY hot so i knew the front calipers were sticking, specially the left caliper, so i had them both replaced and been great since then.
My clutch works excelent on mine since i owned it and the brakes feel solid.

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside.

If you haven't found it yet, the FSMs are online, along with the carb manual and other rotary material.
