Nice ride,

But what do you mean by 12A turbo gearbox?
I only know the Japanese 12A turbo inj. rx7.
and in Europe you could buy a Rx7 Elford Turbo (i've got one )
But the trannie was stock. Not sure of the Japanese trannie do...

I don't know more official mazda 12 A turbo releases... correct me if I'm wrong...

Greetz,

Eventhough the seats are practically useless for passengers. Ide rather have them then the storage bins that you cant ever get to unless you get out of the car.

Sorry to Tom for hijacking your thread (nice car BTW)

Maguire I like the seats but they weigh a tonne and the foam traps water like it was designed to rot out the wheel wells

might start a new thread on how to retrofit bins to a 2+2 I can't visualise how they fit at the moment

I'm a little late but.... here goes.

Welcome Tom85,

We are all glad that you joined our loving community. A few things to do while you are here is to check out the "stickies" in each section, the archives, and don’t be afraid to use the search option for some answers.

If you have a question about rotary engines or RX-7's, you've come to the right place. When asking a question, be sure you are asking it in the appropriate forum. (ex. Not everything goes into the Lounge)

I've been a member for a while and have learned that this site is flowing with information, great people, and the owners are always striving to make this a better place for the users. The admins and moderators do not tolerate flaming other people or their property. If you are attempting to undermine the tranquility of the forum, I’m sure appropriate action will be taken.

On a personal note and fair warning: Ignore the people who have a pinecone shoved up their asses. (Basically, don't take everything on here personally.)

Enjoy your stay.

BTW storage bins went into cars with additional rear-impact bracing (Canada and US models) added to meet safety requirements

When putting in rear seats, this bracing will likely have to be removed. Should the car ever be moved to another State or Province it may fail safety inspection (detrimental structural modifications)

hi

Thanks,

The wheels are 16"

As with the seat's in the back they can hold 3 (pissed) peolpe not a problem at all, as i was driving...

When i got it, it had an auto and the 12A turbo box was out of a Jap Spec RX7, and i was told be my mech that they were stonger then standard, he could have been telling me crap, but so far i haven't had any problems with it. I've got a mate who's got a 90 S5 Turbo, and he loved the feel of the gearbox??

Thanks for the comment's

more pic's

You won't need the bracing to make the bins - just the metal panel that makes the front & angled top, the associated carpeting, and the plastic bins and covers.

You need to REMOVE the bracing in North American models to install the seats, and then you risk failing inspections.
