Hey guys, I'm new here, wanted to introduce myself

Hello all, my name is Ryu, I registered here basically to learn, but I thought I'd introduce myself and be nice Anyways, I have a 1978 Savanna, JDM, RHD. Brought over from Japan by my grandfather, he bought it new back in Japan when we lived there. I really don't know much at all about my car, which is why I'm here, to learn as much as I can. I'm going to be restoring it, and putting in a new motor, basically starting from scratch, so I'm trying to figure out where to start. That's about it. Thanks, and see ya guys.

~Ryu

Edit: can a mod fix the title?, I feel kinda stupid with that there

Thanks guys. Actually, she's more of a restoration project. She runs, and isn't badly damaged or anything, but the JDM mirrors are broken, it's got a couple dents, and the motor, even though it runs, it IS 25 yrs old, and don't think it's been serviced (or driven regularly) in over 15 yrs.

I'm reading up, trying to figure out where to start with the motor. Common sense says just to swap a new one in, but what?(yes yes, I'm reading ). The interior should be re-done, and I'm sure I'll repaint it when I get the body work done (it's that Lime Green color, nicknamed 'The Frog' ).

Thanks.

Ok, I'll snap a few when I get a chance (I actually recently broke my leg, so I'm not very mobile).

Does your friend happen to know where I can get some mirrors? Mine are broken off The fenders are fine though.

Welcome, are you going to modify the savanna at all or build it back to showroom stock?

The only thing hard to come by about the paint is a quality shop (yes, sarcasm in your post received with proper intent)
