hesitates now
I have a hesitation problem I didn't have before. On hard shifts high in the RPM range, it will go flat for a second in the next gear, then take off. I've got new plugs and wires and a fuel filter in wait while the engine soaks in ATF tonite and tomorrow.
I just got all the vacuum plumbing worked out. It didn't hesitate before this when it was hooked up wrong.
While I had it in the garage, I was experimenting a little. If I rev it in neutral, it seems to catch pretty well in lower engine speeds, but if I try to rev it up high it will hesitate each time I press the accelerator. What do you guys think? Its funny that this only happens AFTER I fix the vacuum lines. Bad accelerator pump? Stuck secondaries? By the way my idle has been creeping up its around 1400 now it used to sit at 1k.

You didn't mix up the vacuum lines at the distributor did you? One comes in sooner@vacuum/ than the other don't know what would happen if they were switched. Neither one should have any vacuum at idle. If you have full vaccuum at idle at your distributor it will raise the idle too.
