Boeing? Seriously though, they look like custom made from off the shelf ricer wings. The Gurney flap on the red one is interesting. I love that track BTW.

You mean this spoiler?

That first one is definatly a Mariah GTO wing like mine. Its about 800 bucks and Mariah may not make it.I had to sweet talk them after buying the widebody kit to boot. They ended up having an outside source make it from their molds, since they hadent built one in years and were unsure about being able to make it.

yuck, perhaps you might wanna mount a couple propellors on the roof to spin on the freeway so you'd really llok like you're fly'in.

On a race car, function takes priority over form. That's why it looks that way. The same wing on a street car becomes a personal choice of the owner and no one else and their opinion.

anyone that pays 800$ for a wing is retarded, unless of course it's CF and on a race car.

A fool and his money are soon parted....

Anyone who puts 5,000 to 10,000 or more into a first gen rx7 that is only worth 200 to 2000 bucks is pretty stupid to right?

Sign me up on that list then........
Its all about what you want and how bad you want it.
That dream wing or motor you allways wanted can only be had one way. Money

Money can be recoperated.
dreams cant be attatched to cars and be admired.

now that 800 dollar wing is the differance between a true enthusiast willing to sacrifice some money and some wussy just TRYING to be cool.

dude I took the photos. Thats all I took of the red car. However, the owner said the slight raised AL lip made a big difference in downforce.

These were race cars. Not Mariah street. Mazda Motorsports for race - SCCA & IMSA mostly. But I'd love to have one for my street car ( no Al mods).

So Im a fool huh?How about I just follow the rest of the sheep to Pepboys and screw a $75 universal APC aluminum wing onto my immaculate, professional, 3 year paint and body project?Maybe you should think things through before making remarks like that.Ill explain why my car has an $800 wing, and its not because Im retarded or even rich.

In 10 years of making my car unique and complete,800 bucks is a drop in the bucket. No Im not rich, but Im also not stupid.I weighed the differences between availible RX-7 specific wings.Differences like cost, personal taste, uniqueness and ease of fittment.I had a classic duck bill style wing before and I was unhappy with the fitment around the edges. It would have took too much bodywork to blend cleanly to the steel.Bodywork=lots of $$$$.Plus blending would have made it permanent,no going back after it was fitted.

The pedestal type wing has much less contact area with the body, and since its a QUALITY part from Mariah,it fits the back ledge cleanly.I was able to just bolt it on with no bodywork and no gaps.Clean, simple and I saved more money in bodywork costs, than the difference in cost between the $800 wing and a $300 wing from say,Wings West.
