before you post a question, use the search button at the top right of the screen. people always post **** that someone else has already asked recently. thats all that i can think of that would make you look like less of an amatuer.
welcome to the club!

alas the 100th post!

welocme to the club. yes, definitiely get to know the search button ... it is your friend. although it can be a foe as well when you can't think of what search criteria you need to hone in on what you're looking for.

anyway, you've got to be more specific ... what sorts of tidbits are you looking for?

Welcome Dave, did you know where the word Trivia originated? It came from Ancient Rome. You see, outside the city there were three main highways that converged, the "Tri Via" or Three Roads. At this convergence there was a very large stone. On this stone was posted all the local news and gossip of the prominant and important people in the City, kind of like your ancient National Inquirer. Hence the expression "Trivial"

Was that the type of interesting and not well known fact you were looking for?

You must to be more specific about the car and what you want to know, or else go back and read the archives and stuff. What year/type do you own?

Welcome to the forum!

Hmmmm..... tid bits eh.... well.... let's see...

I'm sure you know a thing or two about rex's but let's start with what you drive..... GS? GSL? GSL-SE? I guess it all depends on what you drive and what you've done to your car so far. If I were you I would start doing searches on some subjects, sometimes it's hard to "search" so here are some of my suggestions:

"ATF treatment"
"LSD" or "Limited Slip Differential"
"Carb crap nikki mods"
"MMO" - in the gas and in your oil, yum!
"Oil cooler"
"Racing Beat exhaust"
"Shutter Valve"
"anti-afterburn hose"
"pre-mix"
"oil metering pump"

That should do it

We're a pretty laid-back group here on the 1st Gen forum. There's actually not a whole lotta flaming. We all like to chat about our cars so if you have a specific question by all means post it I'm sure you 'll get tons of opinions.

thanks guys. so everyone knows i dont actually own a 7 yet but i have some money to buy my first car with and my own choice on the car( within a slighty low price range 5,000-12,000 ) and i was thinkin about getting one. i have a friend who is obseesed with rx-7s (i think he has a 12a for a brain ) hes taught me alot...i used to be really stupid . so i figured that maybe now i know anough to join and get some advice from professionals! ummm i really like the 83-85 gsl. i never really liekd the second gens ( there not very cool to look at and the 3rd gens are of course out of my price range. arent all the good ones?!?!? plus enough if j dont get a 7 i really like them and have nothin better to do than sit around and chat about them. so there ya go

~dave

and that was excellent trivia. now only if it was about a car!

OK then

I saw a 85 GSL-LE for sale in your area in the TraderOnline website. I think he wanted $3K for it. The picture looked exceptional, he claims only 79K miles on it, has both sunroofs for it. Its white with a burgandy interior. He's somewhere in the 425 area code. Find it at this websiteAuto Trader

If I had the cash I'd jump on it.

You could get a CHEAP 3rd gen for 12K...My cousin got his 75,xxx mile '94 Montego Blue Touring 5 speed with basic performance mods and a more than perfect 10-9-10 boost pattern, for a little under 10K from the original female owner. I think it was like 9.5K. Anyway, look around, you may be surprised how cheap you can find a nice FD .
