Help! Vacuum Hose? What is this!

Where does the hose that is plugged in this picture go to. What purpose does the valve that is plugged do? It is next to the fuel injectors on top of the engine on the passenger side.

It's called the air bleed socket it connects to the front of the RE-EGI box (the bottom nipple of the four in the front). The larger fitting is for the sub-zero injection. I believe that valve is used to allow the sub-zero fluid to be injected in, but not cause a vacuum leak.

If you want to replace the connectors for your injectors, AutoZone has them for about $5.99 each. I replaced mine as mine were old and brittle like yours are.

I think what you are looking at is the (extreme) cold-start assist. It's meant for weather at or below 10 degrees F My advice is that if it is that cold, you do NOT want to start a rotary anyway. The main seals between the plates and housing shink at such low temps, and starting the car will cause ingestion of antifreeze and potential severe damage.
