eric, i've always used 194 bulbs. the connector i used was from a parts car and was a carb part i believe. i personally think that an 1157 is too large of a bulb for a tps adjustment light.

maybe not too much current, just too bulky for my personal taste.

Try changing the wires around on your tps test setup where you have the 2 going into one feed. `1157 is a dual filament bulb or single? Sounds like the wiring on your tester isn't setup right. Got a picture of it?

test your lights first on the battery. Do they both light up?

the only other thing I can think of is that maybe the green test plug is dirty. you said you tested 2 tps's with an ohm meter and they bothe checked out ok right? Hopefully RotaryDoctor will see your post soon. I just made my test light to check my tps last night. I turned the screw all the way in, hooked up my test light and then started adjusting the screw counterclockwise and kept going till I got 1 light. Good luck.

When I turned the tps adjustment screw all the way down and hooked up my tester to the green check plug ( after the car was warmed up ), both lights were on and then I started adjusting it counterclock wise till I had only 1 light on.

What procedure are you using to adjust your tps? The first time I tried I forgot to turn off the engine each time. Check out this doc that I use to solve any idle problem with my SE, the TPS adjustment info is near the bottom..

12v bulb is a 12v bulb, unless you use a headlight, lol.
