help! timing issue w/ locked dizzy, wont start
rebuilt my engine and locked the dizzy anticipating putting my turbo kit on this summer (cartech drawthru) and i cant get it to start! i set the timing marks to close to standard, and it sounds promising, but wont go. from my searches when i was lcoking the dizzy, i recall 15 degrees retarded, but idk for sure. if i pull out the distributor, which way would i turn the gear on it? like looking straight down on it, would i turn it counter clockwise or clockwise to retard it? theres not enough play in the bolt without pulling it out.. and if anyone has a diff reccomendation for the timing, let me know.. all plugs have spark etc.
is it a inductive pick up dizzy? if it is with vaccum advance...pull the pod outward to Advance push in to retard...........and clockwise is advance when turning the actual distributor......i dont know if this helps
