help with the smog system
I did this yesterday on my '80 after installing a Racing Bleat header and covering the ACV, EGR, and heat exchanger holes. All the motor needs to run is a PCV valve, a vacuum tank purge line, and vacuum lines for the distributor advance. I plumbed in a TEE for the tank purge line. The PCV valve sucks on the air-oil seperator tube to vent crankcase gases. Cap-off or plug any extra vacuum fittings in the air cleaner housing as well as the carb. There will be a lot of them. Pretty simple, huh?

nope, I'm not joking. All those solenoid valves and vacuum hoses on the top of your engine are affectionately refered to as the "rats nest". Makes sense right?
