Exclamation Help! SE Misses a LOT!

I need some help with my SE.
It's kind of an odd problem.
The engine stumbles all over the place, in all gears, anywhere above 2k rpm. Even with my foot to the floor it won't break 7k rpm. What's more, it's somewhat intermittent. Somtimes I can rev to 4 k with no problems, other times 2k is the limit. The car also idles very rough, most of the time.

My first thought was fuel filter, but I've changed that, to no avail. I'm going to check voltage on the fuel pump tommorow. Otherwise, I'm thinking maybe the strainer in the tank?

Any other suggestions?

have you checked thetiming? also, check to see if the injectors are getting proper voltage or if they are spraying properly. also, check the maf.

No... It was running fine until about a week ago. I don't see how anything would go wrong with the timing overnight? Plus, it's an occasional problem.

It feels like a fuel starvation problem to me...

to check your fuel flow, pull off the main fuel hose from the delivery pipe, remove the air cleaner top and eliment, turn the key 'on', use a finger to push open the flapper on the mas, that turns on the fuel pump, with the main hose off see how much fuel flow you have, should just flow !!. but other then that sounds like a vacum leak... my -SE runs rough,,it's the injectors working intermittiningly <? it happens.
