Exclamation Help rear end knocks when shifting / boosting

When I shift medium or shift on boosting rearend knocks " thud " hard.. I heard u can weld it... I don't know what to do. Thanks for help. Just bought the Rex

i have a knock on mine and it ends being part of the tri link one of my rods of my tri link bushings are bad , so try getting under your car and start trying to move the rods front and back and left to right.

First step; check the gear oil level in the rear end; make sure you've got enough lube of the proper type in there.

Check your driveshaft u-joints, too.

Bad link bushings are easy to see that theres a problem, just man handle them and see if they move. I bet thats the issue. If not also lift car and wiggle the tire to see if there is any play at the wheel.

If it's a 2nd gen, the rear diff mount is broken, very common on the TIIs. Friend of mine broke 2 until he had a metal one custom made.
