Help with new battery clamps

Ok, So I've got two new battery clamps to install on the neg & pos wires...only prob is I think the factory clamps have the wires already soldered into the posts..... does anyone know/have gotten them out without having to resort to cutting em and starting again?

The fact clamps are a bit dodgy now and are past their prime..... something which I think is contributing to my jumping volts from 11v - 14v

just cut the wire as close as possible to the old clamp.. there isn't really much point in saving the 1cm of wire that's inside it.... You're going to have to strip and clean the insulation off anyways, becaues you can't just go sticking corroded wires into it, right?

NICE 7 btw.. it's purty

Yeah I thought I'd just have to go the chop :P

Then all I gotta do is cut back a little more, make the ends nice and clean, and install the new ones, right

Cheers for the comment on my 7.... I'm taking more snaps this weekend, just before it goes in for the s5 13b turbo "makeover" I wanna do a before & after

yep... just take off the ends, strip, bolt them in, put some stuff over it (liquid electrical tape seems to be the best) so that it won't corrode ever and you're done.. never have to fix that problem ever again! at least not for another 15-20 years, heheheh
