does it have a big blue air cleaner on top? if so its a 12a

does it say efi or something with a silver box on top, then its 13b

since its an 83, it would origihally have the 12a unless someone upgraded it

its more than likely a 12a unless a swap has been done.can you be little more specific on what problems your having? does it turn over but not start, does it not turn over, does it start and run like crap? how long has it been sitting? welcome to the board and to the worderfull life of owning a rotary =). you might want to start out by browsing thru the faq and archives and remeber that the search button is your friend

The first step: Try starting it. Tell us exactly what it does when you do that.

I hate to say this, but the FAQ has a really great article on "No Start" situations.

Basically you will need engine work. Rebuild what you have or get another. How much can you spend?
