Help me spend my money......

OK, here's the deal. I recently came into some money and have no idea what else to spend it on. I need ideas. I don't need a rebuild yet, and will set enough aside to cover that, but have no idea what else to do with it. And NO, you can't have it, unless you have a nice car you are willing to part with, hehe. Here is a list of what I have done to the car so far;

New tires on stock rims
RB full exhaust
MSDDFLIS or whatever
MSD wires
new plugs, cap, rotor
all new vacuume lines
all new ground/power wires
new alternator
new brakes (calipers/rotors/pads) front and rear
put all new fluids in tranny and diff
put sound deadening throughout
and upgraded sound system

what am I missing here guys?

I have a gsl rear end ready to go on. Does the mikuni retain the choke? This is my ride year round and the choke comes in handy. If it does, hell yes I want it.

So far, I should be able to make it again, hopefully nothing comes up.

I'd go with Racing Beat springs, either that or Eibach Pro-Kit springs. I can't remember which one is softer, but if you are using it year round it will probably be a better idea to go with the softer ones.

The Pro-kit is progressive and should be softer for 'round town driving. That said, the final spring rate of the Eibachs in the front is significantly higher than the RB units. I've never driven a car with the Eibachs installed, so I can't speak for how they feel for certain but my RB's produce a firm ride that is fairly unforgiving over rough/broken payment or severe bumps like traintracks.

sounds like youve got a solid car. i would definately look into a new induction system though. do a lot of research, before you pick a carb though. if you can get a deal on the mikuni, that would be good, otherwise, i would look into a sterling, or maybe a weber. you will need a fuel pump, and regulator as well.

or hell, maybe just save it. you might need it later. i always like to have a little to fall back on, or have incase a sweet deal comes along, so i dont get burned.

also, have you considered rims/tires?

I would ditch the idea of new brakes and new alternator rebuilt ones will look and preform as good as a new one this is how my rebuilt calipers look like and these calipers were sitting on the ground on a junk yard

Grab yourself a Racing Beat front sway bar. Runs about 150.00 shipped and is well worth the money for the improvement it provides. And yes to the Sterling carb (runs about 350.00 last I checked and get on it now if you want it by spring due to the waiting list) and the fuel pump/fpr.

got plenty to do it, but would like to stay NA at this time. I'm kinda partial to my RB header. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't temp me everytime that I start my car. That would be a big NO to NOS as well.

I'm not sure, but you could pm Sterling or Carl and find out. Your best bet would be to send them a junkyard carb, so your car isn't down the whole time. Send him one now, and I'm sure you'd have it by spring anyway which is the important part. If you don't have a spare carb let me know, I can loan you one...

You're not too far away, drive it up to St Joe. I'll be happy to go through the car and take your money.
