header (racing beat) will be your best bang for the buck.

how much does an electric fan help you out?

also, what about a new fuel pump?

if i run a ceramic coated racing beat header, would it be a good idea to run an electric fan? or would i be fine with the clutch fan?

the fan only frees up approx 5 hp at most but it cleans up the engine bay.

I dont think it matters on which fan you use with which exhaust.

why do some guys intentionally go for loud exhaust? Is it a ticket fetish? Or hatred for long term hearing ability?

I believe it dates back to the prehistoric muscle car days when young lads would run cherry bombs and strait pipes.

I wouldn't opt for too much of a carb upgrade if you have no intentions of porting. The nikki, with a rebuild and jetting, is sufficient for the stock ports.

79-82 manifold has no shutter valve
Port Matched manifold

Including what you've listed that's pretty much it for simple fairly inexpensive mods. Good luck and have fun.

Loud is not the issue. Loud is inevitable for a free flowing exhaust. And since I am in this for the performance, and not looks; loud is what I go with.
Besides who can say it's not fun shooting 2 foot flames in a street race

Peace

i am wanting someones opinions.. i wanted to get the Apex N1 muffler.. but what about the supertrap muffler.. i know it will shoot a lot of flames but thats good.. i just wanted to know if the supertrap just quieted the sound of our exhaust or did it actually give it a nice deep tone like the N1 would??

RB assures me their exhaust system isn't that loud, and it's pretty free-flowing. They have been building it for over 20 years specifically for this application, after all.

I guess I'll see how loud it is htis weekend when I take the car out for a proper spin

There ya go. I guess loud and high performance aren't synonymous at all.

If they don't one could always have them JetHot coated.
