Hey I bought an 84 gsl 12a did a complete tune up replace all vac lines rebuilt carb added a new fuel pump and filter and cap wires and plugs. Well when I drive it there is a serious lack of power and it will not rev past 3k rpm and it sometimes sputters and bogs down. When I rev it in neutral there is a hesitation to where the car wants to cut off at 1500 rpm can someone help me I have no clue what to do.
I have adjusted both floats to factory spec

 

There is a chance your float adjustment screwed up the float level. The factory adjustment shouldn't need to be changed. where is the level in the windows?

Does your accel pump work?

 

If anything it made the car run better as it was suffering from fuel starvation and it was out of the factory clearances before I adjusted it. Float boals are getting fuel and I am not sure how do I test it

 

When I first rebuilt my carb I had similar issues. I read a lot if threads and learned about transition circuit. I took the carb apart again and sprayed carb cleaner with the straw through EVERY passage, making sure I saw where it came out.

That cleared it up for me. Maybe it will for you.
