Could be the intake manifold gasket O-rings. The intake manifold has coolant passages to help with fuel atomization. I suggest buying a new intake manifold gasket which SHOULD come with the new o-rings and change that stuff out. Sounds like you are getting coolant in the engine which is causing the plugs to foul and push starting is a known good way to start a rotary when it is flooded. The o-rings are a common problem on older engines.

Not very, but it could cause this problem. How much coolant when you say "pouring"?

Is the coolant coming out of the tailpipe or above the exhaust manifold? If it't coming out the tailpipe, the coolant seals are blown, rebuild time. If it is dripping on top of the exhaust manifold, it's the intake o-rings.

Or if you overheated your engine, the housings will warp and coolant will go straight into your engine...

u might want to check your spark plugs...if the spark plugs have anti-freeze on it and it shoots out...your going to have to a new engine....just go to a junkyard find an engine...

Id try the intake manifold gasket/o-rings first. Its a pretty easy and cheap job,and it could be your problem.
If it is.....then consider yourself lucky, because it could easily be a warped/blown housing seal, which requires a full rebuild and possible housing replacement,to fix.Warped housings and failed water seals can be caused by overheating, beating on a cold engine, and corrosion of the seal grooves due to age and lack of coolant maintenence.

I told him to go ahead and try the orings on MSN. He did say that the engine overheated due to low coolant levels. I figured that it would be cheap enough to try the orings first to make sure, like Steve said. He mentioned that it didnt have oil mixed with the coolant or vice versa and I wasnt sure if that was possible so I didnt say anything as I didnt want to mislead him or give him false information.

Hey Man in Black. I hope you get your issue figured out, but I wanted to point something out to you. Rather than starting threads with titles such as this one (Help Help Help), you could do us all a favor by actually attempting to state what the problem is. "Coolant running out exhaust pipe" would have been much more useful, especially in the future when others are searching for solutions to similar issues...

If the engine overheated and now there is coolant in it, its time for a new engine... Same thing happened to me, it sucks.

Check every problem everyone is stated. try and change intake gasket and everything else.

it cant hurt to look at it, rather then get a rebuild right away, thats your last priority.

worst is last. its expensive.

Thats what I was saying. Might as well try. I mean, dont start dropping 100's into it but 50 bucks isnt gonna hurt much if it doesnt fix it.

Its a good point, I know with my last engine the second I took the exhaust manifold off, about 1 litre of coolant poured out... So THATS the final nail in the coffin, when you know you need new housings...
