Help Diagnose please.

I was driving through town when suddenly my throttle stopped responding, the rpm's went from around 4k to around 1k, just thinking it was kind of lagging on recieving fuel, I tried giving it a bit more fuel. It shot back up, but only for a second, and then died.

Anyway, I was just wondering if you think this were the fuel pump or something else. I didn't think it was the fuel pump because there wasn't any noise, but I had around a quarter of a tank in the gas tank, and the throttle body was responding to the gas peddle being pressed.

yea; check fuel filter then fuel pump. then blow air pressure thru the fuel lines if possible just to rule out that they are not clogged. after that if nothing still checks out, maybe a jet got clogged in the carb? crazy shizzle there.

Check the fuel levels in the float bowls. Make sure fuel is getting to the carb. Like they said, could be fuel filter, or the pump or a clog somewhere.

This is silly, but make sure your TPS is hooked up right. The exact thing happened to me once because somehow it got disconected. Also make sure it's adjusted properly.

My fuel pump went out, but when I get that I am going to get a new fuel filter as well.
