Help compiling the list? Porting tools cheaper than RB...
A quick search yielded no results, so I thought I'd start compiling a list and ask for assistance in finishing it.
As everyone knows, you can buy the tools you need for a Street Port from Racing Beat. As most folks also realize, RB likes jacking up the prices.
I'm planning on street porting an engine (exhuast/intake) and am therefore researching at McMaster-Carr for cheaper tools.
So far I've nailed most of them (except for the grinding stones) and wanted to see if anyone else knows part numbers or wanted to help.
Description__________RB Part Number and Price__MM-C Part Number and Price
Carbide Cutting Tool___22106 - 32.70___________43035A68 - 16.58
Carbide Cutting Tool___22107 - 15.00___________43035A218 - 9.38
Mandrel - Long_______22115 - 4.00____________4690A84 - 4.42
Mandrel - Short_______22116 - 4.00___________4690A81 - 1.54
Missing are the paper rolls but those are cheap enough at RB. The grinding stones are also $3 (ball) and $4 (cylinder) but since there's a larger quantity being used/suggested, I'd like to replace these with something better. Anyone with experiece know what to suggest?
Thanks in advance, all, and please feel free to offer suggestions based on prior experiences. Savings above is already $20 and likely saving on shipping too.

Well, in this instance, Carl has the air tools and compressor, so I'm tailoring this to that setup. Accordingly, if I can get tools that can be re-used, I'd much rather do that - you know, so there's something left over after the ensuing carnage
