Help! Car suddelny runs like crap.

I was driving home and was at a light. Light turned green and the car stalled when I put it in first. The only way I could get it started was to pump the gas and rev it high. While driving, it acts as it is not getting any fuel and no power (runs ruff).

The fuel pump is good, delivery and pressure. I am getting spark at all plugs. The engine is good both rotors have good compresson. I thnk it's a fuel delivery problem but don't know how to check.

I replaced my engine 2 years ago and rebult the carburator at that time. It has been running well since then.

Any help would be appreciated.

No. Fuel filter is new and so is the fuel pump.

I bet it's too much fuel. Make sure you have 12volts at the vent soleniod. Here's a photo. Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem except mine is intermittent. Mine will run fine one day then not the next. I put on a rebuilt carb and it has had a new fuel pump, filter and the works just like yours. Everyone keeps saying fuel problem, but I am starting to wonder. If I find my solution I will let you know, and if you do I would appreciate the same. Good Luck!

Your are a genius sir. The problem was the vent solinoid. I checked for voltage and was getting 12 volts there but the plunger was not pulling. I took it off and had a spare carburator sitting in the corner with a working solinoid. Put it on and works like a charm.

THANK YOU....
