dude, if you're going to work on your car, buy yourself a manual, you can't do much without it.

Be a little more specific about the seat belt problem. I don't get it?? 1st, what year car you have? I have 84-85 but if you have a different year, it may??? be different...are you talking about the retractable part or the part that clicks in?? If you give more info., you might get an answer that might help you a bit...cjf......

On my cars, (85 GSL, 85 -SE), there are three places where the seat belts mount to the car. Also, I stripped some seatbelts off of an 81 GS and I know theyre the same. Anyway, there is the female end that bolts to the center console (one bolt), the actual retractor unit that bolts to the inside wall of the car UNDER the storage bin area (take out the storage bins and there will be a place to bolt it there (one bolt), then there is the top directional piece that bolts up by the headrest of the seat, also on the inside wall of the car (also, one bolt). Other than that I dont know how to help you. I hope that helps though.

PS - If you have the place on the center console bolted up, the other two use the same kind of bolt i believe. its a big one, about 17mm i think

BTW, if you need a Haynes, buy one on Ebay, cheaper and faster than ordering from a book store.
