my 82 rx7 has been sitting for few months and now it won't even crank. Well, at first I unflooded the motor like
suppose to and so it cranked and ran for about thirty seconds and then it died. When I tried to crank it up again and the thing don't even make a sound. I kept turning the key but it's like there's nothing. I even installed a new battery and new terminals. All the electrical components are working fine so I think that the battery wasn't the problem. The car has about 150k miles now. I'd appreciate any help or suggestions from any of you rotary experts. Thank you in advance.

 

Mine did that for a while beause the starter went bad. I just took it out, rigged the brushes to work again, and put it in. No more problem.

If you turn the key and isnt any sound at all, it's most likely the starter. Mine did the same thing. It turns out it had a badly corroded wire. Try push starting it. If it starts when you pop the clutch, its the starter
