help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

changed radiator and thermostat in my 85gs and now it's idled up to 4 grand

That would not cause you to idel any higher. Your wax thing my be stuck and not letting your idle go down.

There is wax inside the thermostat that causes it to open at a certain temp the thermostat may be defective.

12A cars dont have a thermalwax idle speed control.12A idle-up is handled by pulling the choke ****, which raises the idle speed and richens the mixture.Something got wanged,bumped or leaned on.Check the throttle cables,choke cable,oil metering pump rod and carb linkage.Also look for any vacuum leaks from unhooked hoses.Is your choke **** popping in after the engine is warmed up.If not,push it in manually and check the 2 wire sensor on the back of the thermostat housing.

I've seen this happen before on cars that had air pockets in the engine antifreeze. Try burbing it and see if that helps.
