HELP ~ 12A Choke Cable Replacement Options

Hi all, I am not having much luck finding an original choke cable replacement. Are there any aftermarket options that you can recommend?

No HELP Available?

Any help would be appreciated. I am sure that I am not the first person to run into this problem.

One option is a pick and pull type place. I know from looking before for aftermarket carb cables that some guys go to a motorcycle shop.

Do you want to replace the entire electro/mechanical choke or just the cable itself? The reason I ask is because some people think their choke cable is broke when its the water temp sensor that supplies the choke. When they pull the choke out, it immediately goes back in.

Can you explain what's going on with yours?

Details of problem with choke cable

Kansas, the choke pull **** in the car was not actuating the choke at the carb, so I opened up the electromechanical part behind the dash and found that the cable snapped off where it was crimped to the choke pull **** rod.

I was hoping to get a used one, but I have not had any success after about one month of serious searching. So, now I am contemplating using a universal choke cable, but the problem with this is that the end of the universal cable does not come with a stopper like the original has, and the other less critical issue is that the universal will not hold the choke in place since choke is spring loaded.

I can't be the only one to encounter this, so I am hoping someone can share how they dealt with this.
