Hello All

This site was recommended to me from Miata.Net. I am looking at a 1984 GSL with 148 000 kms. Is there a buyer's checklist somewhere? I have looked around the site, but I seem to be missing it.

I currently autox a 1990 Miata. My daily driver is a 92 Camry (V6, 5pd). The Rex will be a toy for my fiancee, who has become a bit of an autox addict. I suspect the car will end up at some track days in the future, too.

I've looked at the FAQs -- I was thinking more like a buyers checklist, things to watch for etc before you buy. Of course, the car is pretty cheap, so maybe I shouldn't worry too much.

Thats the beauty of these cars. If the body is good, then your ok. Look for the major rust prone areas. Front frame, the tubular member in front of the radiator where its welded to the frame rails. Behind the storage bins is the other major rust zone. Also the rear of the hatch area. Good luck. Umm like any other rotary, look for white (coolant) smoke on startup and while running. Those are the major issues I can thnk of.
