Unhappy Heater Hose

bah, i found out what that bad leak was today..it was not my radiator hose, but it was the heater hose...hard to get too...thats for sure...i finally got to drive it home. its in my drive way right now. it needs a bath..bad...umm...the leak is right after the second clamp...odd...i tryed to tape it for the time being, but that doesn't work at all. so i need a new heater hose. (hurrah) imna try to cut right after the break in the line, and try to snug it up to the clamp. i think that should fix it

Mine broke where it hooks up to the oil cooler, so I reversed the hose to get the good end down , and then made a 3/4 copper pipe with an elbow and clamped that in at the top . no more leak .......

well, i found a hose up ontop of the firewall...imagine that ? fat end that shrinks into a skinny end...perfect...so. i just clamped the big end to the regular hose, and the quick tied the small end to the pipe.

but now...i was driving it earlier (of course ) and then it started to overheat within like 20 minutes of being driven ? any solutions ?

Is it losing coolant? If so, look for another leak, or check for white smoke at startup (internal water seal broken). If coolant is OK, take of rad cap (when cool) and see if water level is good and look for bubbles (broken internal seal) . Is water pump working?

well, ill try that tommarow, i was told by "richard" (rx7 guru in town) to just ride with my cap not all the way tighten'd. he said that should help a lil bit, but imna check the thermo tommarow. along with the temp gauges...(make that all the gauges)

Problems with my car.
1. Over Heats Quick
2. Half of the Gauges Works (and the ones that do, are not correct.)
3. Sensor in Dome Lights broke.
4. Revers lights do not work.
5. Needs A Tune Up And Cleaned.

Thats it...

cant tell, ive got a clicking noise on the passenger side of my car when i hit small bumps...oh well...
