Heater fuse popping and fuse block melting...?
My heater motor is melting fuses and the fuse block while its on high, not on medium or low though..... what can I do to fix this, its -31 celsius here right now and I really need my heater to work.
Possibly a bad switch? Maybe a poor ground also. If ground is bad, it is gonna pull lots of juice through those old wires. I would keep it on medium for sure until you get this figured out.
possibly a short somewhere, but I'm guessing your motor may be bad and it is causing you all these problems.
Sorry about your situation, the heating in mine was always very poor....

any other opinions out there? I thought I read something on this forum about some sort of resistor (ballist???? not too sure if that the right word??) in the heater motor going for crap and causing this issue? But I am not 100% on that.

check that you are running the right Amperage of fuse on the heater circuit..If I recall correctly ,the heater motor is easy to replace ..three screws..an electrical connector and a tube..the resistors are for the lower settings ..they are thrown into the circuit for the low and medium speed..when the fan is on high, the power is direct....the resisor pack (not sure of this) should be attached to the motor assembly..and they should be swappable with another Mazda/Ford heater unit..they are not just RX7 heater motors..should be able to search on the forum in the threads for more on this ..(anyone who knows me..knows ..I've read about this..in threads on this forum..somewhere)..best to ya ..and in the mean time..MANISNOWBA...RUN IT ON MEDIUM..LOL
