Heater core hoses
I sucessfully swaped the radiator which I had bought about 3 years ago from my parts car into my SE. No leaks right away. So I took it down the road to get it to normal operating temp before draining the water and putting in antifreeze. Come back and water all over the driveway. Nothing I thouched, at least. It was just the heater core hose from the block to the core @ the firewall. Hopfully a dealer has it or can get it quickly.
I called a dealer this morning after checking Mazdatrix's $43 price. It seems as though no one can buy dealer parts for first gens anymore at they have been purged from the computer. That sucks!
So, I'll probably end up just getting some flexhose with the right ID size.
Oh, the parts car is a 12A and the hose is not the same.
Anyone else replace this hose have a cheaper source than Mazdatrix? I checked VB catalog and no listing for heater core hoses.
TIA,
Aaron

Jim,
There is only one yard close to my house and I'll check it tonight and let you know tomorrow. If they have none (likely), I'd pay up to $20 if you spot a good one.
Badass, that is what a new Mazda dealer had told me when I called this morning. The last time I got something from a dealer was spark plugs about a year ago and they had to look it up in a book. Seems this new (less than 6 mo old) dealer isn't all set up yet because I called the previous dealer I go to and he got me a P/N and a price. $50. I'll try boneyards first.

I'm pretty sure I can get it for $20 from these guys, if they have one. I remember seeing a bunch, 6 or 7, of 12A's, but I wasn't looking for 13B's. I'll call you on Sat and let you know what I find.

yeah our dealer here dont have anything on the computer, but I got a Mazda book somewhere that has most of the layouts and part numbers
I usually buy from the dealer, I get 15% over cost, jobber price. All it takes is a business liscense LOL (costs like $40 at the court house) LOL

Checked two junkyards yesterday and neither have any first gens. In fact, the one on 18 1/2 mile has no car older than 1995. Wow, who needs parts for cars that new?
Jim, you at work today? I'm not going to be home tomorrow so if you need to call me, I'll give my cell # in e-mail. Oh, heck, you have a PM.
If no 13B's in the yard, I might just order from Mazdatrix and get my clutch parts as well.
