Heat shield for carb

I understand RB has a heat shield that bolts on just under the fuel intakes on the carb to keep the heat from the exhaust manifold at a minimum. I can't seem to find it on Racing Beats website, so do any of you guys know what I'm talking about and how to get one?

You just weren't looking hard enough m8.

Its on Racing beats site. Look under Holley intake components.

It would be easy to make one yourself thou.

Don't know if it will fit, You can make one out of stainless steel though.

RB's is made for the Holley setup. The stock carb has it's own heat shielding of sorts. Making one to fit the stock carb is a middle school class exercise, not hard at all.

This is actually for my 74 REPU, the hitachi carb. Has no shielding (at least, not anymore), and I saw another REPU that had one. Seemed like a good idea. I could make one, but I'm afraid it wouldn't look as good as RB's, since I haven't been in middle school in 35 years.

Pfff looks... Its all about how it performs...well it wouldn't bee to hard to make a good looking one thou, buy a sheet of nice stainless steel (hard stuff to work with thou) and polish it up, make a few bends, drill some holes and vuola.
