Heart is where the home is

Funning thing. The offroad site won't have me because of the rotary. Samurai sites don't know and don't care about me. But I found a home on a sport car site. And I have a letter to write to four wheel drive and offroad. They bag sport import and I have a 4x4 sport import.

Yup this site is a great place, people don't talk trash and just try to help out their fellow members. It's awesome, the club rocks!

Amen to that.

I liked it so much after my first post here that I stuck around. And look at me now!

I have to take this aside to thank Manntis. He put up with some of my early n00bish posts and very diplomatically brought me in line. I doubt very much I'd have become the mod I am today without the help of him and many others.

I've been here since the forum was blue/grey and new people were known as "exhaust leaks"

From Exhaust Leak to Rotorite, to Insane Burnout, to No Life, to Custom Tagline was how it used to go. You couldn't just have a custom tagline off the bat. And people had to have a hundred posts before they could have a custom avatar!

Manntis drove the most beautiful first gen I ever knew and his avatar was a picture of a face which I always believed to be his, but never found out.

Inittab (bob) had an avatar of a face that definitely wasn't his - Kryton from Red Dwarf... but of course only an oddball like myself would have ever watched the show, so I was the only one to get the joke.

TJ (Rotomotodriver) still had his pride and joy, and his avatar was a menacing looking policeman waving a baton... Well I guess we all know why he got rid of that.

And I made a post that will be forever puzzled over - "FB, FC, F-Me I'm Confused" lives on to this day in the FAQ, paying tribute to my time as a n00b on this forum. And it still has people asking the question - Why is a guy with over 2,000 posts asking what an FB is? - I'm not. I was.

And I.... well I just got my car on the road officially last week. That's right everyone, Roxy has been restored, and drives the streets putting Civics in their places.

I feel like I've been here as long as you, Jon!
