headlights actin up!!!!!!!!!!

Question headlights actin up!!!!!!!!!!

hey guys. Ill be going out to try to fix it tommarrow but i just wanted to see if you guys knew what the problem was. Alright, when the headlights are on, the left one is brighter than the right. then when i turn on the brights, the left one goes bright but the right one goes even dimmer. whats up?

perhaps they are different lights. look on the light itself and make your judgement.

Sure sounds as if you have two different brand/make headlights which have different resistances. A matched set, should take care of the problem.

i think they are the same lights. it never did it before. ever since i took off the headlight motor and put it back on its done it. So i think its something i did.

I just checked the FSM and they are in parallel so what I said should not apply. Try disconnecting one and the other one should stay on indicating they are in parallel.

If it goes out then you have a wiring problem where one light is drawing power through the other.

perhaps you have a poor or corroded connection on the dull light, that or it is just plain worn out. you may want to replace both of the lights. just my .02.
