As i said flush mounted ones would be about 250-275 cdn.

Lights:100
Steel:30
Welding and other expenses:30
Plexiglass:10
Time:4 hours

so your looking at 180 in expenses at the least...im thinking it will be a little more. Plus my time.

That is still cheap as hell. Now are you planning on making them to where we wont have to cut anything or is it not possible to do that?

You got me all excited now, if you make a set like this and it looks really clean you have me sold. I NEED to do something with my headlights (I don't have any and I don't think I want the cp racing kit...). So count me in!

What lights are you planning on using? How/where will you mount the headlight aiming buckets?

Can you make them to where we can paint the housing to match the color of the car if we want to. I am willing to seal it myself. I just want it to match my car. I will be willing to buy the first set and try them out. lol

Hella is making some 90mm units that may or may not work in this application.

On the high side of the market I'm sketching some housings inspired by the latest Miura headlights, xcept the Deco shape surrounding the projector describes a rotor shape when viewed from the front. It actually looks half decent, not nearly as cheezy as it sounds, but would be for use with a 70mm bi-xenon HID which would probably make it too expensive to produce.

Change the Plexiglass to Lexan and I'd be sold.

How exactly are you going to be fitting those? Flush mounted with lexan over them with bubbles, or what?

I talked to him via PM, I can't remember his SN right now... It's a miata kit that he modified, and the only reason he did the sleepy eye look was because the plumbing for his intercooler forced him to do so. Otherwise, he said, they would work just like regular old pop-ups.

I'm making my own. The hell with it.

ya i would use lexan.

As for adjusting, i havent figured out a good way to do it yet. I could leave the headlights unsealed on special orders if someone really wanted them that way.

Ok how about this for adjusting.

When mounting the plate that holds the headlights themselves, have a mounting bracket, with four machined threaded bolts through four threaded holes in the mount thats directly attatched to the headlight. Then have another bracket that has the headlights attached, with four unthreaded holes that match the ones in the headlights, have the bolt heads reachable from the back of the headlights. Between the two parts would be four really stiff springs. Hows that idea.
