Headlight Choices

What sort of choices are there for an FB headlight? I find the standard lights a bit dim and would like something a bit brighter. Any sugestions??

Thanks

Matt

You can convert from a sealed beam to an H4 style light for fairly cheap. Should be a decent upgrade.

If you wanna spend more cash you can always go with a nice HID system.

I converted to H4. Not only is it a bit brighter, but your headlight will still work if, god forbid, a passing semi kicks up a stone and shatters the lens

I got the Bosch kit - $80 CDN at Canadian Tire (at the time that was aboot $50 US, but now it's more like $60) The reflectors and lenses are well made.

I've seen a lot of similar kits on EBay that are pure crap, with almost no thought given to beam dispersion pattern

i have the Hella H4 housings that Summit sells... but the bulbs are crap in these (the ones that i got for my Chevelle are MUCH better/different)

so i'm gonna get some silverstar's, because a friend has them in his civic, and they make a huge difference.

Apparently the brand name is something like "truck-lite".

$65 per lamp, including a bulb and 9007 adapter wiring.

I've got SilverStars on my SA, and it is a million times better than stock.

I also have some H.I.D. look Foglights. Those, compared with the SilverStars, are an awesome combo.

I'm saving my nickels to get true H.I.D. headlights, AND true H.I.D. fogs.

I used to run the Hella E-code H4 lights. They were pretty good. Big step up over the stock lights. They had a nice beam pattern too. Not the cheapest thing though.
