"headlamp" on instrument panel
the 'headlamp' light on the instrument panel came on and will not go off. the headlamps work fine, so I don't know why this light is on. it is not the highbeam indicater, also this light does not go off even with the ignition turned off, so it slowly drains the battery. any help would be great.

That indicator means that your lights are not being detected as fully up or fully down. Normally, it only lights up when they are in motion.
Since the light being on means one or both of the motors are getting power, it'd be something to fix since it's drawing power constantly when on.
Exact possible causes (wires and switches) vary by year of build. Most likely cause is a stuck relay in one headlight motor, or a bad blocking diode in one. To figure out which one, disconnect one completely and see if the problem goes away.
