Headers, paint and repair...

Hey.. I just got a great deal on a used RB header.. well im not sure if I got a deal on the header or the ignitor i bought with it.. anyways i got both for $50.. The RB header is a little rusted on the outside so I want to polish it up and paint it before putting it in.. There is also a dent about the size of a quarter on one section of it.. Would anyone have any recommendations for taking the dent out and what type of paint I can use on the header?

I wouldnt even try to take off all the rust, youre jsut going to be exposing new metal, so the rust will end up being worse in the end. And you can try that ceramic, 1400 deg paint you see at the autostores. I had it on my header, and well, it smoked a bit the first few times I started it up, and changed color sonewhat, but it stayed on. Thing is, i didnt run the car very long with the header, so I cant say for sure!
